On Friday, June 6th, Dones Mentores offered a training session on practical cases entitled “The Social Impact of Mentoring by Dones Mentores.“
The training, aimed at a focus group of women with active mentorships and others about to begin their first mentorship, is conceived as a capsule that expands the mandatory theoretical training and delves into the experiences developed by women in mentorships over the past 8 years. We analyzed the impact of these experiences, the challenges, and the short- and long-term effects on mentors and mentees that transcend mentoring relationships.
It was a good opportunity to share different perspectives and analyze the different elements of the most invisible social and structural damage that intersects in situations of gender-based violence. We also shared indicators that we use to define mentoring objectives for Dones Mentores, as well as the effects of these relationships on the mentored women and men.
This capsule of practical cases, which we offer in person, is a new addition to the training package we offer at Dones Mentores and which we will be offering in the coming months, both in person and online.
