On January 22nd, Dones Mentores organized a conference within the framework of Barcelona Activa’s LIDERA programme, dedicated to reflecting on gender equality in the European Union and what it means, in practice, for the business world and female entrepreneurship. The session was aimed at professional women and entrepreneurs interested in understanding how the European framework influences their projects, their teams, and their growth opportunities.

Throughout the session, we shared data, evidence, and key insights to understand the economic and social cost of gender inequality, the situation in Europe and Spain, and the role the EU plays through its policies, laws, and funding programs. We also discussed progress, persistent gaps, and why equality is not only a matter of justice, but also of competitiveness, sustainability, and good governance.

The meeting concluded with a highly participatory dialogue, in which attendees shared questions, experiences, and potential courses of action applicable to their own professional and entrepreneurial projects.

At Dones Mentores, we highly value the event and the interest it generated, which encourages us to continue creating spaces for reflection, learning, and connection among women. We wish to thank LIDERA for making their training platform available for this event.
