Last Friday, May 16, we held the second training session for professionals from the resources that support women who experience gender-based violence in the city of Bilbao.

We presented the Dones Mentores-Emakume Mentoreak methodology and explained the implementation phases of horizontal mentoring among women for the city. As with every project and region, we adapt to the local context to respond to the specific needs of the area and strengthen services for women in Bilbao.

Our approach is based on ongoing collaboration between municipal services, our technical team, and the network of mentors we build to facilitate comprehensive and personalized support for women, promoting their empowerment from a feminist, intersectional, and diverse perspective.

Dones Mentores-Emakume Mentoreak is aligned with the Sixth Municipal Plan for Equality between Women and Men, which seeks to promote social participation and strengthen community support networks for women.

We thank all the participants, who fully understood the purpose of this training and feedback space, ensuring the best possible implementation of the Emakume Mentoreak project for the city.
