On June 27, Dones Mentores organized the conference “Mentoring with a Gender Perspective and a Feminist Approach” as part of the LIDERA programme.
LIDERA is an initiative promoting female leadership, created by Barcelona Activa and the Barcelona City Council, which aims to support women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and professional growth. It was a privilege to be part of this programme and to share our mentoring model with such a committed and inspiring community.
The event brought together professional women, representatives of companies and social organizations, and other participants interested in gender equality and the fight against gender-based violence. We shared knowledge, experiences, and reflections on mentoring as a tool for social and personal transformation.
The activity included a presentation of our peer to peer feminist mentoring methodology, with inspiring testimonials from women mentors who are part of our network, and an enriching discussion on how to apply this model to professional and institutional contexts, with the participation of the Catalan Women’s Institute (ICD).
