Last Thursday, November 20th, as part of the events of November25, International Day against sexist violence, Dones Mentores, in collaboration with the CAID in Hospitalet, concluded the Weaving Rights – WakeUpRights project, funded by the European Union and Oxfam Intermón under the EU’s CERV Programme, with an intimate meeting for the participants of the mentoring program.

With the title “Mentoring at the CAID: Experiences, Lessons Learned, Evidence,” mentors and mentees—both those already part of the network and the most recent additions—shared a safe space to outline their experiences, share stories, and jointly identify the impact of social mentoring not only as support in transitioning out of life but also as a means of empowerment.

The session combined moments of personal introspection, small group work, and a collective reflection on what mentoring demands, what it offers, and the lessons learned. From this dialogue, we constructed a kind of “collective snapshot” of the project: its highlights and challenges, the meaning of supporting and being supported, and the emotional and vital impact of a horizontal, supportive relationship among women.

At Dones Mentores, we deeply appreciate everyone’s participation, the support of the CAID in Hospitalet, and the opportunity provided by OXFAM and the EU. We continue to weave a network that supports and transforms.
