On June 27th, the Dones Mentores team participated in the presentation in Barcelona of the mid-term results of ISEDA, a project on the eradication of gender violence in the domestic sphere funded by the European Union research program, Horizon Europe.
Universities and institutions from 9 countries participate in ISEDA, including the University of Alicante and the Department of the Interior of the Generalitat (Government of Catalonia). ISEDA’s main objective is to produce, test, evaluate and expand innovative solutions against sexist violence within the European Union. The project focuses on combating sexist violence with a European approach based on multisectoral knowledge and the development and use of modern technological tools and practices.
Our contribution to ISEDA consisted in assisting the project researchers at the University of Alicante, in order to create profiles of women survivors of violence (mentors and mentees, in this case), for core interviews during the research process. To do this, the researchers from the University of Alicante travelled to Barcelona, and we provided a safe space for the interviews.
At the event of June 27th, led by professionals from the University of Alicante, we had the opportunity to present the Dones Mentores method and our contribution to the ISEDA project. The event was also attended by Manuel Szapiro, Director of the representation of the European Commission in Barcelona.
